First Annual 5K + Craft Beer Festival

A completely brand new event is happening this weekend: The Brew Hop. It starts with a 5K race at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday the 18th, and then a festival of BEER begins at 12:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Of course, there is no better way to complete a fitness challenge with a beer and food challenge. There will be a few cool food trucks (Bareburger, Blossom Ice Cream, etc.) and alllllllll the NYC breweries:

• Sixpoint Brewery
• SingleCut Beersmiths
• Third Rail Beer
• Bronx Brewery
• Gun Hill Brewing Company
• Rockaway Brewing
• KelSo Beer Company
• Alphabet City Brewing
• Blue Point Brewing Company
• Great South Bay Brewery
• Captain Lawrence Brewing Company

This is what we call Sunday Funday.

Oh and there will be live music, games and art installations too. Seems totes worth the $50-60 ticket. Plus, the event supports City Harvest.

Runners can register starting at 10:00 a.m., and will receive ALL the beer they want,  a souvenir pint glass, beer koozies, and congratulatory medal at the end of the race with their registration.

For us normal people, there is a ‘Beer Fest Only’ ticket available.
